The results of a large epidemiological study conducted at UC San Francisco suggest that sugar may have a direct, independent link to diabetes.
<p>Lower-income patients want to communicate electronically with their doctors, but the revolution in health care technology often is not accessible to them, due to inadequate health information services within the health care clinics they frequent, according to a survey by UC San Francisco researchers.</p>
<p>Researchers at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital have received a $1.75 million grant from Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation to support the discovery of innovative treatments for childhood cancer.</p>
<p>The University of California, Berkeley, UC San Francisco and Stanford University are collaborating on an educational program aimed at commercializing university research and fostering innovation locally and nationally, thanks to a three-year, $3.75 million grant from the National Science Foundation.</p>
