Smokers can begin loosening the tight grip of nicotine addiction by smoking low-nicotine cigarettes, without lighting up any more than they usually do, according to recent research led by long-time UCSF nicotine researcher Neal Benowitz, MD.
The Supreme Court ruling on the health care law is a "great opportunity, but it’s really only the beginning of what’s likely to be a very long journey,” said Josh Adler, MD, chief medical officer of UCSF Medical Center and UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital.
UCSF teams are working hard to achieve a collective fundraising goal of $55,000 in AIDS Walk San Francisco, which is on July 15.
