September is National Childhood Cancer Awareness month, encouraging awareness and affirmation to the commitment of fighting pediatric cancer.

October is Diversity Month at UCSF, and the campus is celebrating with a series of events that highlight the University’s efforts to support talented and diverse faculty, staff and trainees.

The works of faculty and staff will be on display from October 1 through October 4 for the 24th annual art show on the UCSF Parnassus campus.

An isolated outbreak of a deadly disease known as acute hemorrhagic fever, which killed two people and left one gravely ill in the Democratic Republic of Congo in the summer of 2009, was probably caused by a novel virus scientists have never seen before, according to an international research consortium that included UCSF.
