Researchers at UCSF, UC Berkeley and partner institutions are receiving $6 million to help address three neglected tropical diseases that place a huge health and economic burden on people in Central and South America: Chagas’ disease, dengue and onchocerciasis.

UCSF partner choirs at 12 senior centers throughout San Francisco in the “Community of Voices” research study have an opportunity to receive additional funding to sustain these choirs after the study closes.

Patients undergoing imaging at UCSF Medical Center at Mission Bay will be transported to the tranquility of Muir Woods, or take in the sights of San Francisco from a cable car or boat, thanks to images projected on the suites’ walls and ceiling.
