Fifth-graders at Rosa Parks Elementary School in San Francisco's Western Addition are learning about science with the help of UCSF School of Pharmacy students.

For just $2 a month, families in need can get the shoes, clothes and winter coats they need to survive cold and foggy nights in San Francisco.

UCSF ranks among the top 10 of the nation's premier academic medical centers in overall quality and accountability, according to the newly released annual scorecard of the University HealthSystem Consortium (UHC).

UCSF faculty and staff may change their benefits package during Open Enrollment, which runs from November 1 through November 27.

UCSF has already begun to "develop educational facilities and infrastructure commensurate with UCSF's stature in health sciences education."

Educating future leaders is a priority area of the UCSF Strategic Plan and part of the mission of the Women's Global Health Scholars program.
