UCSF Chancellor J. Michael Bishop, MD, today (Dec. 14, 2007) announced that, effective immediately, Professor Sam Hawgood, MB, BS, has been named as interim dean of the UCSF School of Medicine.

Sam Hawgood, MB, BS, chair of the Department of Pediatrics in the UCSF School of Medicine and physician in chief of UCSF Children's Hospital, was named interim dean of the UCSF School of Medicine, effective immediately.
