Vice Chancellor Joseph Castro will be awarded the International Cooperation Dedication Award, which is presented by the Beijing Municipal Commission of Education to an educator whose influence, dedication and work impacts higher education collaboration on the world stage. 

In a bold demonstration of support for the many children with cancer they have treated over the years, several UCSF doctors and other staff members will have their heads shaved bald in a special event on June 8 to raise funds and awareness for childhood cancer research.
