Laws that end smoking at work and other public places result in significantly fewer hospitalizations for heart attacks, strokes, asthma and other respiratory conditions, a new UCSF analysis has found.
<p>Hospitalized heart failure patients who received the drug, serelaxin, in a phase III clinical trial had fewer disease symptoms and as a group experienced 37 percent fewer deaths over six months, according to results of a new study.</p>
